Expression of Support for the Recommendations of the “Task Force on Climate-related
Financial Disclosures (TCFD)”

Nippon Light Metal Holdings Company, Ltd. (President and CEO: Ichiro Okamoto; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter, the “Company”) has expressed its support for the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

The Nippon Light Metal Group (the “NLM Group”) has identified “material issues for the NLM Group,” in order to recognize them as key management issues for the NLM Group’s sustainable growth and the creation of corporate value. As part of these efforts, we are focusing on action on climate change (TCFD).

Now, in the “Nippon Light Metal Group Integrated Report 2022” issued by the Company, the Company has provided disclosure based on the four items set forth in the TCFD recommendations, namely Governance, Strategy, Risk Management, and Metrics and Targets, and has also shared information on matters such as the NLM Group’s systems related to action on climate change and targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions as part of its aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In addition, in relation to creating lists of climate change-related risks and opportunities and scenario analysis, for the current fiscal year, the Company has provided information on the calculated degree of impact on its major subsidiary, Nippon Light Metal Co., Ltd.

Going forward, the NLM Group will continue to focus on enhancing the content of disclosure based on the TCFD recommendations, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society envisaged by the SDGs through comprehensive and wide-ranging fields of business related to aluminum.
