Participation as a Partner of the “WIPO GREEN*¹” Platform for Promoting the Transfer
of Green Technologies

Nippon Light Metal Holdings Company, Ltd. (President and CEO: Ichiro Okamoto; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has engaged in research and technical development related to the development of industrial products and methods of manufacturing industrial products capable of contributing to the reduction of environmental impact, in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), based on our Group’s Management Policy, “Our Group will work actively to achieve carbon neutrality, to help create a sustainable society.”

Now, we will register green technologies previously developed by our Group and participate as a partner in the “WIPO GREEN” platform for promoting the transfer of green technology on a global scale operated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a specialized agency of the United Nations.

“WIPO GREEN” is a platform that connects the providers of green technology with persons who need that technology, with the objective of spreading technology related to the environment and promoting innovation. By registering and disclosing green technology on “WIPO GREEN,” it is possible to match with individuals and organizations that require that technology.

Our Group has completed the registration of two technologies. Going forward, our Group will continue to promote initiatives concerning products and technologies related to the environment and actively work to help create a sustainable society.

“WIPO GREEN” was established in 2013 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with the objective of promoting the development and spread of green technology. Through the online database and regional activities, it is possible to connect persons who require green technology and the providers of that technology. The database has over 120,000 registered technologies, needs, and experts, and has users around the world.
